An aspiring South African blogger based in Kimberley with the vision to see you discover who you are, live it out boldly, add value to your community and serve your generation with your gifts.

I am currently a second year student at UNISA, studying for a Bachelors in Community Development. I can proudly say that once I am finished with my degree I will be the first person in my family to have a degree - talk about changing my future generations!

You are worth far more than you know and maybe you are not aware but YOU have a significant role to play and you have the answer to solve a problem in your community (usually the one that makes you angry the most).

I went through a process in my life of discovering my worth, value and what I can contribute to the world with my gifts and talents.

Now it is YOUR turn!

This blog will benefit those who needs encouragement and inspiration to continue to run their race, how to live with Christian values in our modern society today and those who are in their 20-30's making important decisions that will effect the rest of their lives. As well as on the other hand support and introduce the Face Behind The Brand from local businesses in Kimberley and help with Social Media Marketing.

This blog came out of from my passions, skills and experiences, which travelling formed a large part of my assertive personality today and where I want to encourage you to step out of your comfort zone.

Have you ever had a dream or a desire that kept bugging you till you decided to do it? Well, this was one of them. If something happened or a conversation took place, I always thought, "Wow, I should write about this!" but like we usually do, we shrug it off and go on with life. 

My desire grew stronger and stronger to influence other people positively through writing, interviews and creating a platform for people to share their stories.

God took me through a process where I really began to search how I want my life to count and live my life to the fullest and max my potential, not just by making a salary, having a car or fame, but because I did what I was set out and created to do here on earth to serve my generation and to solve a problem.

I wrote down what the Holy Spirit placed in my heart at the end of 2017. I was so desperate to know my purpose for being back in my home town after travelling the world solo, that I began to search and desire what He wants me to do with my life where He placed me in a place such as Kimberley.

He is so faithful and He wants to show you your purpose more than you know!, He laid it on my heart and I wrote the vision down... 

Have you ever had a vision so big that you got scared, overwhelmed and doubtful?

To share one part of it, it would be to share my testimony to women across borders and impacting them to also find the hope, peace and victory that I did. I knew with an unshakable knowing who better to impact and change a city than the person who grew up there.

Little did I know how or when it will come to pass, but step by step He led me in the direction of what you see today as the brand "Discovering Life".

As you seek His vision for your life, He has deposited everything you need ALREADY inside you to make this a success. Do not fear the unknown, failure or peoples opinions, your vision and desire will never leave you until you pursue it. You have an assignment here on earth to fulfil and you will find so much joy and purpose doing it - nothing else.

In short : 

After school I got into a toxic abusive relationship that led me into a deep depression, isolation, living in fear and feeling incredibly unworthy with no self-image. Even though I was saved from a young age, baptised and filled with the Holy Spirit, I made decisions in my dating life that was to my destruction. I believed so many lies of bondage and anxiety that I thought this is normal.

I was at a point so angry with my life where I didn't even want to believe God was good or that He even cared about me. 

Today I am so grateful that God never gave up on me. He still came after me and it was His goodness that led me back to repentance. 

After getting out of the relationship, it was a long slow healing process that followed with a year on a game farm (where I also recommitted my life back to Jesus), followed by a desire to live abroad and everything fell so quickly in place and within a month I was in NYC with a family to au pair. 

After 18 months of self-discovery and exploring what life has to offer, 

I realised that my capacity and abilities that I never knew existed. 

Travelling Solo is part of what made me who I am today, being driven and loving myself for who God created me and not resenting my past, but to use it as a tool of hope to others. 

I started sharing my testimony with some girls and I realised the more I did, the more I saw the need for someone speaking up about social injustice and abusive relationships. 

Most of the girls I spoke to during my life now has either been through it and started their healing process or is going through it. 

They could see the situation for what it is in reality and knowing their worth, made the hard decision to step out, or sadly some stayed.

I wish I had someone to talk to or a blog to read like this one to teach me that I am worth so much more and I do not have to be scared of the future. 

I thought "who would want this broken person?" "No one will love me" "I am not good enough to deserve a good marriage." So many lies that the enemy tried to keep me in bondage... and it worked, I believed it - UNTIL - ONE -  DAY

Fast forward...

My healing process took me 5 years, with the idea of me never getting married. This site is so that you can make the best decisions early in your life and not have take years to heal before stepping into your destiny.

Today I have a husband (who I never knew existed even though I prayed for him as a child) that God blessed me with that exceeds my expectation every time a new challenge comes. What tears do you want to cry in 10 years? Tears of joy and thankfulness or tears of frustration and regret?

THE DECISIONS YOU MAKE TODAY WILL IMPACT YOUR FUTURE AND YOUR DESTINY!

I know my identity in Christ, so I do not have to have people affirm me, but my heavenly Father does. 

I am a confident, strong, fierce and driven woman who stands back for no one.

You are called to be a strong woman too, 

don't let men who are intimidated tell you you need to know your place. 

A Proverbs 31 women were not timid and scared of letting men trample upon women. 

You are a chosen generation for such a time as this. 

I am here to help you to the best of my ability to discover what that is and to live it out boldly.

You were meant to live a life that History cannot ignore. 

One that can change history for the better because you were in it, you left your mark nad made your life count.

You were born for such a time as this and everything is already inside you to make your dream a success - it is time to discover it and live your life.

The people who are in our history books today or those in the Bible never knew they were changing and making History, 

                                    MAYBE TODAY  we are writing history and we don't even know it.
